Interpreters
Face-to-face, video and telephone interpreting.
We regularly look for qualified interpreters for face-to-face, video remote (VRI) and telephone interpreting internationally, particularly with experience in legal, medical and public services.
Language analysts
LADO and related analysis work.
We work with experienced language analysts, especially for Language Analysis for the Determination of Origin (LADO). A background in sociolinguistics or dialectology, analytical precision and up-to-date regional knowledge are key.
Translators
Legal, medical, technical and marketing translation.
We look for translators with proven experience and subject knowledge. Familiarity with CAT tools and reliable delivery to deadlines are highly valued.

The work you would do with SILA Linguists®
Interpreting, translation, transcription and language analysis across many sectors.
Freelance linguists with SILA Linguists® take on interpreting assignments face to face, by video and by telephone, including court, police, medical, community and conference interpreting. Other assignments cover translation and certified translation of legal, medical, immigration, financial and technical documents, transcription and translation of recordings and subtitles and, for experienced analysts, language analysis and nationality assessment.
Assignments take place in legal, healthcare, immigration and asylum, police and justice, council and public sector, education, charity, financial services, insurance, engineering, energy and technology settings. SILA Linguists® works with linguists in more than 350 languages and dialects, across the UK, North America, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
