The SILA Linguists app is our telephone interpreting app and video remote interpreting platform in one. You log in, pick the language pair, say whether you would like a female or male interpreter, and choose an over-the-phone (OPI) or video remote (VRI) call. The app finds the first available interpreter, usually within seconds.
You do not need the app to use the service. Clients can also dial our interpreting line from a landline or mobile, enter their PIN and choose the language, and we connect the call in the same way.
We cover 350+ languages and dialects, from widely spoken languages such as Arabic, Polish and Romanian to languages that are harder to source at short notice, such as Tigrinya and Kurdish Sorani. Calls run over end-to-end encrypted channels, and the app works alongside major video-conferencing platforms when you need to bring an interpreter into a meeting you are already running.

Telephone calls typically connect within seconds. For less common languages it can take a little longer, and the app shows how long the search has been running.
Can I add an interpreter to a video meeting I am already running?

When should I book instead of calling on demand?
